400MW Project in Saudi Arabia

Wind Data Loggers from Kintech Engineering used for wind resource assessment in 400MW Saudi Wind Project

The 400MW Dumat Al Jandal project in Saudi Arabia will be built by a consortium of EDF and Masdar and is the very first utility scale project being built in Saudi Arabia. A flawless wind measurement campaign in accordance with international standards has helped push forward what will also become the largest wind project in the Middle East.

“It has been an amazing project to work on, and we are extremely thrilled to have supported with our data loggers and know-how for the last several years. This and several other projects in the region yet again demonstrate that our data loggers lead the race for wind measurement campaigns in The Middle East.”  Peter Møller, CCO Kintech Engineering.

Wind power markets in the Middle East will add up to 12 GW of new capacity between 2018 and 2027, and we are excited to already be part of many of these projects.
